Parent Coaching
Empower Your Parenting: Change Starts with You!
Parenting a child with ADHD can be both rewarding and challenging. As a parent, you want to ensure your child has the tools and support to succeed in school, relationships, and life. Guess what! You are the most powerful catalyst for change in your child’s life—especially when navigating the challenges of ADHD. Our Parent Coaching service is designed to help you understand ADHD from a new perspective, strengthen your relationship with your child, and create a home environment that fosters growth, understanding, and success.
Our coaching is tailored to meet your specific family needs and your child’s individual challenges. With personalized guidance and proven strategies, we empower you to become the confident, informed, and patient leader your child needs. By focusing on your growth as a parent, we’ll help you unlock your child’s potential, manage challenges with greater ease, and navigate the unique dynamics of raising a child with ADHD.
For those who would like your children to be involved in the coaching process, this is absolutely possible and can be highly beneficial. Involving them—when appropriate—provides opportunities for parents to observe strategies in action, practice new skills in real time, and receive guided support while interacting with their child. This collaborative approach helps parents build confidence and consistency, making it easier to continue supporting their child effectively even after coaching has concluded.

It’s important to note that while many parents start out by looking for a coach for their child, in many cases children & teens with ADHD may not yet be ready to engage in coaching or fully participate in the process, and that’s okay. I am a firm believer that the work begins with you—the parent. By strengthening your own skills, knowledge, and mindset, you’ll be better equipped to support your child and model behaviors that can help them thrive. Together, we’ll create a foundation that helps your child/teen gradually engage when they’re ready, building a stronger bond between you both.
How We Help
Understanding ADHD
ADHD shows up differently for everyone. Through coaching you will gain a deeper understanding of how ADHD shows up for your child, how it is effecting their day to day life, and how you can best support them moving forward.
In addition, we will look at how ADHD is impacting you & your family. Maybe you have ADHD as well, or maybe you don’t. Either way, how you see ADHD matters and directly impacts how they see themselves.
Emotional Support
We begin by noticing patterns in your thoughts and responses, creating greater awareness around emotional triggers—for both you and your child. Together, we’ll develop personalized tools to help you manage your own emotions, respond to challenges with empathy, and provide the steady encouragement your child needs to thrive.
Executive Function Skills
Executive function skills—like organization, focus, and emotional regulation—are key to a child’s success, especially for those with ADHD. Through coaching, parents learn what these skills are, how they develop, and practical ways to support their child at home.
Through simple, real-life strategies and collaborative guidance, we help parents teach executive function skills in a way that’s clear, supportive, and personalized. The goal is to build lasting confidence—for both parents and children.
Effective Parenting Strategies
Every child is unique and deserves strategies that work for them specifically. Learn how to implement strategies that are first and foremost relationship centered, that also reduce frustration, promote positive behavior and create consistent routines that will support your child’s development.
I truly believe that a strong relationship with your child is at the heart of an effective parenting strategy and is the foundation of every parent coaching session.
Building Self-Awareness & Self-Advocacy
Self-awareness is essential—especially for a child with ADHD. It’s all about helping them understand themselves, which is the first step toward growth, confidence, and managing their challenges in a healthy way.
Self-advocacy is also super important. It empowers them to understand and speak up for what they need to succeed, both in and out of the classroom and into their adult lives.
Collaboration with Schools & Professionals
Effective support for a child works best when everyone is on the same page. We guide parents in building strong, collaborative relationships with teachers, school staff, and other professionals.
Through coaching, parents learn how to communicate their child’s needs clearly, advocate confidently, and create consistency across home and school. Together, we help ensure that the child’s support team is aligned and working toward shared goals.
Communication Skills
Strong communication skills are absolutely essential, not just for managing day-to-day challenges, but for building trust, connection, and long-term success.
Kids with ADHD process things differently and its important to understand that ADHD can affect how a child listens, remembers, and responds.
Together we will improve how you communicate with your child, fostering open dialogue and reducing misunderstandings.
Collaborative Problem Solving
Challenging behavior is often a sign of lagging skills—not a lack of motivation. Using the Collaborative Problem Solving approach, we help parents move away from power struggles and toward understanding, empathy, and teamwork.
Parents learn how to work with their child to identify unmet needs, build problem-solving skills, and find solutions together. This strengthens relationships while promoting emotional regulation, flexibility, and communication—for both child and parent.
